I FINISHED!

Guys. Guys! I FINISHED MY BOOK!

I’ve been working and working and working and working on “The Book for four years now – and today, I’m finally able to say that it’s doneI made the last edits, and then spent a solid minute dancing like crazy in the coffee shop bathroom in celebration. I’m still dancing a bit. Honestly I don’t see an end to the dancing. Because…

I finished it! I wrote a book! I WROTE A BOOK!

Phew. Got that out of the system (for now, at least). So I finished it – but what does this mean? Short answer – it doesn’t mean much. Finishing the manuscript is not the end, it’s actually more of a beginning. I don’t have an agent. I don’t have a publisher. And I don’t have an editor. I’m just a nobody who has a manuscript. And there are lots of nobodies out there who have manuscripts. My next step is to pitch to agents, and see if there is someone out there who can get excited about my work and agree to represent me. If that happens, then it’s on to the next step!

Thanks to everyone who has been supporting me up to this point, in all of your various capacities. And thanks to all of you who are planning to stand behind me as I move forward with this book, try to get it published, and begin working on the rest of the series. Writing can be, and often is, very solitary, and I’ve had an incredible support network in this process. You guys rock. Thank you.

When more news comes, you will know! Now, it’s back to dancing!
